Property reinstatement in Wiltshire
Reinstatement is the whole building put back, not a patch. Where a property has been seriously flooded, the work runs from strip-out through structure, services, finishes and decoration — and it wants one contractor holding the programme rather than five arriving in the wrong order.
What it involves
The full rebuild, finished to the standard it was before.
The programme comes first: what has to happen, in what order, with which trades, and where the long lead items are. Kitchens, specific floor coverings and matched joinery are the things that hold a job up, and they get ordered at the start rather than found to be missing in week five.
Structural and service work follows the strip-out — floor structures replaced, joist ends treated or renewed, electrics tested and rewired where the water reached them, heating pipework and boilers repositioned where it makes sense to raise them.
Then finishes: plaster, floors, joinery, tiling, kitchens and bathrooms, decoration. This is the phase where the property either goes back to what it was or ends up visibly repaired, and the difference is entirely in the matching and the preparation.
Handback includes the drying report, the photographic record and a walk round the property with you. Snags get listed and fixed rather than argued about, and where something was improved rather than replaced like for like that is recorded for your insurer.

Often yes, on a room-by-room programme, though it is slower and dustier. If the kitchen or the only bathroom is out for a stretch, we will say so before you decide.
+Do you work to an insurer's agreed scope?
Yes. We can also price against it and flag where the scope misses something the readings and photographs show.
+Can we upgrade things while the work is open?
Yes, and it is often the sensible moment. Upgrades are priced separately from the insured work so the boundary stays clear.
