Cornerstone Construction ("we", "us", "our") is a sole-trader building and decorating firm based in Hereford, Herefordshire. This policy explains what personal information we collect when you contact us or use our website, and how we look after it.

1. Information we collect

When you fill in our enquiry form, call or email us we collect your name, contact details (phone, email), the address where the work would take place, and any project details you share with us so we can prepare a quote.

2. How we use it

We use your information to respond to your enquiry, provide quotes, arrange and carry out work, send invoices, and keep records for tax and accounting as required by UK law. We do not sell or share your information with third parties for marketing.

3. Lawful basis

We rely on legitimate interest (responding to your enquiry), contract (carrying out agreed work), and legal obligation (HMRC record-keeping).

4. Sharing

We share information only where necessary — for example with our accountant, suppliers ordering materials for your job, or where required by law. Form submissions are processed via Web3Forms which delivers the message to our inbox.

5. Retention

We keep enquiry and project records for up to 6 years to meet UK accounting and insurance requirements, after which they are deleted.

6. Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can ask us for a copy of your data, ask us to correct or delete it, or complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk). To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details below.
